Questions

What exactly is a credit?

One character of text you turn into speech. A 1,000-word chapter is roughly 6,000 characters, so about 6,000 credits.

How is transcription billed?

From the same balance, at 14 credits per second of audio — the same rate per second that speech costs. An hour of audio is about 50,000 credits. Repeats of an identical file are free, exactly as they are for speech.

Do credits expire?

No. Buy a pack once and spend it whenever you like — there's no monthly commitment and no seat fees.

Why are repeats free?

Identical text in the same voice always produces identical audio, so we render it once and serve the stored file. You're only charged the first time.

What happens if a render fails?

The credits are returned to your balance automatically. You never pay for audio you didn't get.

Can I use the audio commercially?

Yes. The audio files are yours — host them, ship them in an app, or sell audiobooks made with them.
